crowning system
The CROWNING SYSTEM is used on Press brakes that requires high bending angle precision. Forming angle uniformity depends on a variety of factors, the most important is the constant penetration of the punch into the die lengthwise. During the forming process, when under load, the upper and lower beams of the machine tend to deflect, resulting in irregular forming angles. Crowning system compensate the deflection of the bottom beam, adjusting and guaranteeing uniformity to the sheet bending angle.
It can be integrated in the existing beams or supplied as complete crowning table die holder.
Romani has developped different type of crowning tables for according to the type of pressbrake and tools in use.
Adjustment: the adjustment of the wedges can take place in two ways:
- manually by means of a handwheel
- automatically by means of a C.N.C. reduction gear motor
